Ramón Hoyos (1932-2014) Cyclist.
5 - time winner of the Tour of Colombia.
Hoyos was born in Marinilla in 1932.

Martin Emilio Cochice Rodríguez – Cyclist.
Winner of many national and international competitions.
He was born in Medellín in 1942 .

Maria Luisa Calle – Cyclist.
A decorated athlete, she was Olympic Medallist in 2004 , Athens and the World champion in Bordeaux, France. She also received the Gold Medal at the 2007 Pan American Games.
Calle was born in Medellín in 1968.

Ximena Restrepo – Athlete.
Awards: "Bolivarianos" Games, 1985 ; Latin American Games in Cuba, 1986; semi-finalist in Juniors {Greece), 1987; semi-finalist in Seoul Olympic Games, 1988; Bronze medal in Barcelona, Spain, 1992.
She was born in Medellín in 1969.

Santiago Botero – Cyclist.
Winner of international and national competitions. World champion of 40.4 km in Belgium. He was the champion of the Tour of Colombia in 2007.
Botero was born in Medellín in 1972.

Camilo Villegas – Golfer.
Villegas is one of the best golfers in the world and is a professional on the PGA Tour.
He was the winner of the 2007 Tokai Classic Tournament in Japan .
At the end of September 2008, Villegas was ranked seventh in the world as a result of his remarkable feat in winning two victories on the PGA TOUR: the BMW Championship and the PGA Tour Championship. He finished second in the FedEx Cup series standings.
He is the first Colombian to win a tournament on the PGA Tour.
In March, 2009, Villegas was awarded the Order of San Carlos, conferred by President Alvaro Uribe, as recognition for his work as Colombia 's sport's representative.
He was born in Medellin in 1982.

Elkin Serna Runner
This remarkable sportsman was the winner of the silver medal in the 42 kilometres marathon for athletes who were classified in the T12 (low vision) category at the Paralympic Games in Beijing ( China ) in 2008.
The great runner was the only Colombian who qualified to run the marathon.
Serna was born in Urrao (Ant) in 1985.

Sergio Luis Henao – Cyclist.
Winner of the "Tour of Colombia 2010".
He has participated in several international competitions and has won several stages in the Grand Prix of Portugal, Mallorca Belt, Cup of Nations Ville Saguenay, and South American Games 2010.
This excellent athlete was born in Rio Negro in 1987.

Óscar Albeiro Figueroa – Weightlifting
GOLD MEDAL WINNER AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES 2016 IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL
Silver Medal Winner at the 2012 Summer Olympics, men's -62 kg class weightlifting in London, England.
Gold Medal winner at the Panamerican Games 2011 in Guadalajara (México).
En 2006, obtuvo la medalla de plata en el Campeonato Mundial de halterofilia en Santo Domingo y fue premiado con la medalla de plata en los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe en Cartagena. Este excelente pesista realizó su carrera en Cartago (Valle).
Nació en Zaragoza (Antioquia) en 1983.

Rigoberto Urán – Cyclist.
Silver Medal Winner at the 2012 Summer Olympics Men's road race in London, England.
Este ciclista profesional debutó en el año 2006 con el equipo italiano Team Tenax. En 2008, obtuvo el segundo puesto en la Vuelta a Cataluña y ocupó el tercer puesto en el Giro de Lombardía. A principios de 2012 logró su primera victoria de la temporada en la cuarta etapa de la Vuelta a Cataluña y ganó el maillot blanco en el Giro de Italia.
Nació en Urrao en 1987.

Carlos Mario Oquendo – Cyclist BMX
Bronce Medal Winner at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games - men's bmx race in London, England.
Su primer triunfo lo obtuvo a los 13 años, en un campeonato mundial en Australia, quedando de semifinalista. Ha recibido el título nacional en la categoría élite en tres ocasiones.
Oquendo nació en Medellín en 1987.

In all, he has received medals in 15 world championships , 2 national championships, 9 Latin American Championships and 10 Pan American Championships
She proudly carried the flag for Colombia in both the opening and closing ceremonies during the 2012 Olympic Games .

Fabriana Arias, inline speed skating.
She has been a world champion 15 times. The only Colombian who has three gold medals in the history of world games in addition to being multiple champion of Bolivarian and South American Games. She was chosen as one of the best athletes of all time according to 'World Games.

24 years ago Lina Marcela Gomez began her career in the municipality of Rionegro . She has represented the country at major sporting events and she has been 4 times South American champion , 3 times Central American and Caribbean champion, Bolivarian Games champion , Central American Games champion and many other achievements.
